The Drumline

Last year the west orange drumline took many spectators right out of their seats as they put on a show that would make anyone coming back for more. With Jesse Showunour as battery captain, this remarkable group of drummers showed the audience how much dedication and time it took to become the best. Taking in consideration that they had 6 snares, 3 tenors, and 5 basses, it was not easy overcoming obstacles that showed themselves during their practices and performances.

In the year 2004-2005 the west orange drumline received a score of 85.5 at the "Chamberlin Invitational," a competition in which the local bands of Florida get to participate and show the audience what they are capable of and the dedication that has been put in practice to get there. Danny Raymon was the percusion judge for that year. "Danny Raymon was not fair in his decision" said Alejandro M., snare. Many of bands participating in the competition admitted that West Orange Drumline surpassed their expectations and concluded that WODL should have won the first place award.
